VideoTalk was built because random video chat deserved better. After Omegle shut down, millions of people lost a space to meet strangers — and the alternatives that filled the gap had the same problems Omegle always had: no moderation, no accountability, and no safety net.
Our mission
We believe random conversation is one of the internet's best features — and that it doesn't have to come with the risks that plagued earlier platforms. VideoTalk exists to prove that random video chat can be safe, respectful, and genuinely fun.
Every design decision — from our text moderation to our multi-identifier ban system — is made with one question in mind: “Does this make the platform safer for the next person?”

Chat moderation
Every text message is screened by our moderation API in real time. Toxicity scores flag harmful content automatically.
Multi-identifier bans
Bans follow users across IP addresses, devices, and emails. Bad actors can't just reset their router.
Human review
Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Chat logs are retained for 30 days, then permanently deleted.
